About the Platform 

The sequencing facility of Genoscope is characterized by the diversity of both devices and protocols used to produce short or long reads leading to its capability to apply the right sequencing strategy to a each project.

Genoscope was first involved in the Human Genome Project (Chromosome 14) and then in a myriad of large and small genomic projects (e.g. duplicated past of flowering plants, asexual genomes like meloidogine and the rotifer Adineta).

Today the Genoscope and its research Unit (Metabolic Genomics) are involved in the Tara Océans project which is modifying deeply the way the genomic can contribute to the description and the understanding of ecosystems and their evolution the context of the climatic changes.
