The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) is the largest public institution dedicated to research in Spain and the third largest in Europe. Cell Factory rovides support to I+D projects focused on the creation of microbial cell factories. Based on an array of state-of-the-art equipment, Cell Factory covers the DBTL cycle at lab scale.
Cell Factory provides access to the following installations
- MCF (Microbial Cell Factory) aims at the creation of cell factories for the production of recombinant enzymes, using bacterial or yeast hosts.
- MM (Metabolic Engineering/Modelling) is focused on genome-scale metabolic models starting from complete bacterial genome sequences.
